Individual case study research
Part of the input for the international learning workshop is collating individual case studies and experiences. The case study research focuses on examples that are proving successful in scaling inclusive agri-food market development. More than 50 case studies are uploaded on the ‘case studies’ page. Three papers are produced overviewing lessons learned from a number of selected case studies.
Interviews with leading figures in the sector
Another part of the input for the workshop is interviews with leading figures in the sector. Interviews are conducted with senior representatives from a variety of businesses. Engagement with local agri-food businesses in Africa, Asia and Latin America is currently being developed by the initiating organisations who have strong business linkages in the regions. Six interview outputs can be found in the ‘interview’ page.
Research in a number of commodity chains
A third part of preparations for the workshop is research in a number of commodity chains, and synthesis of key findings from existing reports. Cutting across the topics of the workshop, the commodity research will focus on a number of key sectors, including: cocoa, coffee, dairy, horticulture, and aquaculture to explore which emerging lessons can be replicated and adapted. The research on commodity chains has resulted in four different papers and five fact sheets.
