Case study Tanzania, marketing systems

Read full case study  - IFAD case. The project’s objective is to increase rural poor people’s food security and incomes by improving the structure and performance of the marketing system. It was initiated in October 2002, with the aim of improving and diversifying production through group formation and collaboration. AMSDP has financed two initiatives: a) the First Mile1 initiative to create the information platform and improve information flow, and b) and Faida Mali2 to act as one of the project’s partner agents (PA) with responsibility for facilitating group strengthening and capacity building for beneficiaries.
